We’re so excited to finally share the Grandma Nelson Christmas Tree kit. This project has been a long time coming, and we’re so proud of how it turned out. We went back to the drawing board for this second version of the kit and really fine tuned every detail to give you an even better experience. Hand-stamped patterns, hand-drawn diagrams, a more refined and detailed video, and even more unique sequins and beads, and a few little extra touches tucked in.

Quick note: The sequin mix is always evolving as I discover new favorites and retire others as supplies change. It may not be an exact match to the photo, but I promise it’s still just as full, varied, and thoughtfully chosen.

Each kit includes everything you need to create your own beaded felt Christmas tree, inspired by Grandma Nelson’s original. There are a lot of little details in this one, so take your time and enjoy the process. This isn’t a quick project. It’s one you sit with, work through, and make your own, adding your own touch to something special that’s meant to last for many years to come.

The original tree was discovered many years ago at an estate sale, and Grandma Nelson has since become my adopted grandma in spirit. Her design is timeless, cheerful, and full of vintage charm, the kind of craft that feels like coming home for the holidays. It felt like something that had been part of someone’s Christmas for years, and I knew right away I wanted to bring that feeling back to life. Watch the original video that started it all

The finished tree stands about 14" tall and 12" wide and slips over a tall long neck quart sized recycled bottle (small wine, sparkling water, soda, or similar), making it a perfect hostess gift. It stores flat in the off-season and is easy to bring out year after year.
